Woke up this morning...one EZdrummer too many
Well, according to the fine folks at Audiodeluxe. Seems since I picked up Slate's VTM last Friday I get a free EZDrummer which, natch, I already have. I guess a spare couldn't hurt;-)

Yes I've got one as well - also I purchased Waves Bass rider in the sale only to realise I can't install this on my system as I have old waves packages (which i don't want to upgrade). So now I have two programs that are surplus!

Strange that Slate has drum programmes but they give a rival one away with Slate purchases. The world doesn't move to the beat of just one drum.

That was my thinking too Strike, ol pal. Why on earth would Slate want to piggy back with a free product from a direct competitor??

Probably it's AudioDeluxe and not Slate that is deciding to throw in EZ.

Probably get's a commission in the Superior upgrade. You really like it better? I think Slate has got great sounding drums, but the way the actual plug-in is designed makes it primitive in terms of features and options. I was anxious to see it when it first came out because I hated having to use Kontakt. After trying it, I'm not sure how much of an improvement it is, for me anyway. And whoever designed that GUI probably spent too much time staring at SawStudio. ;)

If you get something for free that you already have is it still free? .. or how can something of no value to you be free? It is the hole in the zero.... J

Yes I know it is a gift from Audiodeluxe and not Slate but still strange they give a competing company's product away. I suppose Slate doesn't mind as it helps shift his 'subtle' software. You could sell Toontrack licenses in the past, on request. Nothing to stop people selling the old license or the new one. It would need research though. I've not looked into Toontrack's policy of late.

Is your topic "Woke up this morning...one EZ Drummer too many" a reference to Monty Python's Meaning of life and the tiger eating his leg during the evening? If so, nice. If not, ignore this post and go watch Meaning of Life.
