What a cool guy. Still has all his brain cells, too. I highly recommend his biography, which is interesting not only as a historical account but also of interest to home recordists.

All else is in doubt, so this is the truth I cling to.

Berklee has really changed over the years, except for a lot of the exceptional talent that's there.  I listened to almost all his stuff, but in a way I thought he was more popular for his studio expertise and his own personal multitracking.  When he got involved with KISS (trying to remember here), I think he had a bit of falling out of popularity with his cult fans, but I think helped to get him more in the light.  I always wanted to visit Bearsville, kinda like seeing the original Alice's Resturant, when I live in the north east. It was the album after Wizard I think (can't remember the name... had "Hiroshima on it....long songs)...that had a playing side of 32 minutes.  Potentially wasn't possible in the vinyl days.  Kinda ranked with Johnny Winter's 3 sided, double album of doing something different.  His music wasn't especially fantastic in my eyes, but it grew on me quite a bit.  His production was in the ranks of Alan Parsons at the time.
Oh well...just reminiscing.  That's about it.  His stuff at Daryl's House is fantastic.
