WooHoo! Finished my Lazy Sprocket

It took a while but I finally finished this.

And it even somehow miraculously works!  And it sounds really cool.  Now I have to figure out how to do some graphics or lettering.  Does anyone have any advice or tips or tricks on that?

Thanks.  I might end up doing that.  I did find a cool video on YouTube where a guy uses Excel and Avery labels to design the lettering.  He printed everything up on the label sheet, then clear-coated it 3 times, let dry overnight then transfers it to the pedal.  Then he clear coats that a couple of times.  Looked pretty easy, let's you customize, and looked pretty good when he was done.  So I might go that route unless I find something better.  There are some people out there with some serious talent though doing custom designs that look pretty amazing.  Unfortunately, I'm not one of those people.
Meanwhile, maybe I'll check out the local arts and crafts store and see what they have.

I used to make a lot of "homebrew" items.  I used "rub on" lettering to label them.  Used to be able to get rub on lettering at electronics supply and at office supply stores (e.g. Office Depot) but I haven't looked for a long time so I don't know if its still available.  After applying the rub on lettering I would coat the lettering with clear finger nail polish to protect it.

Should work and look pretty good.  You only see the actual tape close up...And if someone is THAT close to your creation there is a problem!
 
Just a thought....And you can use it with the tape that came with it (black on white) for studio clean up...wire labels etc.

Thanks for this idea :-)  As a result, I've just implemented my own in Pro-G by tweaking the main set of controls (attack, release, threshold, ratio and range).  It works pretty well.  It never occurred to me before that you could use a gate to do this.
 
p.s. the stomp box looks great btw!

+1 for the vinyl wrap. You could do any graphics you wanted and send it to a sign shop for them to print on a vinyl sheet. CorelDraw can be used or Illustrator. There are probably free apps as well. You may want to check with the sign company for limitations and acceptable formats. I have done this for full size truck graphics - albeit just one color of vinyl.
 
As small is this is I wouldn't expect it to cost more than say ~$20 (just a guess). It might be cheaper than trying to get rub on letters and you would get better results.
