Wood'ish Bottoms, with Ed, James and another James.
This is by far my most ambitious project to date, almost 8 minuets of genre hopping which I am calling "prog" for want of a better classification. https://soundcloud.com/goldrybluszco/woodish-bottoms Vocals James Alden Lawrence. Electric Guitars - James Griffiths Bass - Ed Kocol. The rest done by me using. Drums BFD3 Brass - Indiginus Blue Street Brass Strings - EW Hollywood solo violin, viola and cello. Acoustic guitars - OTS Steel Strings and Flatpick Synths - Arturia V Collection Piano - Sampletekk Rain II Organ - VB3 Big Big Train was one of the strongest influences here but others include The Strawbs, Stackridge and Fairport.

Getting the Strawb's vibe in the vocal, a couple of the transitions feel abrupt but that could be what you want.
Need to listen a few more times, thanks for sharing.

Enjoyed reading the little potted history about the track, nice touch. The track itself is very ambitious and provides an enjoyable listen. Great job guys (Big thumbs up).

Hi Glyn, this was really great on many levels! Loved the bass, James' guitars, your guitars, keys - all was fantastic. loved reading about the history behind this song. and I really hate to give any kind of negativity on your baby (and I'm sure this is special to you and took a lot of your time to work on) - I will say that the vocals are not my favorite. he's got a good voice, he's not off pitch or anything, but I really don't care for the "loose" timing or "mumbled" vocals. this is JUST my preference only. if this is what you wanted for your song (which it probably is since that's what you did!) then just ignore this ol' dawg. It's just my preference that I would have liked to have heard something a little different on vocals to fit the "epic-ness" of the song and the history of it. that nearly 8 minutes went by without me even thinking about it! it didn't seem like a long song to me! kudos to all performances, very good work all!

Very nice job on this Glyn and company. I enjoyed listening to all the instrumentation and James the vocalist is excellent (especially on the slower parts). Well done everyone.......will give it another listen later on tonight.

Thanks for all the kind comments. It was my first time working in collaboration and my first track with vocals so it was quite a learning experience particularly with the collaborators being in Scotland, California and NSW Australia. James on Vocals dropped the average age by quite a bit and like James and Ed added his own mark on the project, thanks to all of them. For anyone interested in the back story here is a link to the National Trust's page on the Marshland Project.
