Workbench...just pride and joy..

This is for one of three "workstations". First I've ever built.
This will be for finer work such as wiring pups/pots...making nuts...etc.

Really didn't know what I was doing but sure knew I wasn't going
to pay for one. Found the maple top cheap so gave it a shot. It's 60"x 30" x 1.75".

I wanted a heavy workbench so it doesn't move under me and the top
alone weighs 80 lbs.

Took a week to build it and just finished applying some Danish Oil and
getting in place....one more milestone completed and into my eighth
month of building this workshop...getting real tired of this and be glad
to finish....well it just gets old when all the free time goes to one project and
then its such a big project putting things off just drags it on an on.
Well I enjoy sharing it here so it ain't all work. :)

I bet you'll miss the process when it's done though Michael Inspirational, as always.

Thank you Daryl. I already put some dents in it LOL. It's ready!

    You're right James. I admit I've a had a great time doing this. I've
always wanted to build a shop but it was never with the use for building
    guitars.

djwayne- The door in the photo goes to a room full of power tools and all the
hand tools to build are in cases. At least now I can start unpacking the ones I'll
be using at this table. Tools haven't been the issue...a place to put them has lol.
That is a great looking place you have...nothing like having a bench.

Nice. Why did you put a wall down the middle of your new workspace?

    Thanks for the kudos guys!

Craigb...just maple and pine. Saving that good stuff.

Crg-the "wall in the middle" is
a wall of a room. It has all the big power tools- mess makers
    in there.
Here's a shot showing the dirty room from the outside.

This workbench will probably be for pressing frets, leveling/dressing
and other small tasks...not to dirty kind of stuff. In-lay fret and side markers..etc.

Man, there are a lot of handy guys on this forum! I once built a bench. When I was done it was some pretty good fire wood.

Cool place and great bench! Well done
