Workflow to copy from vinyl to PC

I just purchased the audio-technica turntable with the Pyro5 software. Supposedly I should be able to copy the 33rpm vinyl records directly into my PC system. I have the turntable set up, and I am able to play records through my PC. However, I cannot find in Pyro5 an option that will permit me to record (burn) onto my PC the songs on the vinyl record. Can someone help me with the workflow that one would use to do what I am attempting to do. I would welcome your advice greatly.

I have Pyro 2004, so I'm assuming you do it the same way....

When you first get into it, click on 'Make Audio CD'.

Then click on the little microphone icon in the upper left.

Make sure the 'Line In' option is selected!!! To do this, click on 'Tips' and then 'Open Windows Mixer'. Here you will be presented with several input options: 'CD Input', 'Line In', 'Microphone' and 'SPDIF'. Make sure 'Line In' and 'Line In' only is selected!

Hope this helps and that Pyro 5 is similar.

Yes, turk1957, I had the same problem today setting up my Stanton t.90 (problems with the usb hookup thus far, but that's for another post).

Go to your control panel and select add/remove WINDOWS components. click and instal the "accessories and utilities." should work from then on, both from within Pyro and also within the Sound controls on the control panel.
