Working with Loop's Tempo

I've posted on here before about loop's tempo's from loopmaster that sonar x1 comes with, Im hoping to get a clear answer that works hopefully.  Im recording a song that is freeform with no tempo marking, so it's set at the default tempo of 120 bpm. Click is off.  When I drag a loop from loopmaster into the project, the loop plays at the default tempo marking of 120 bpm.  I don't want that.  I want it to play at a slower tempo BUT keep the same quality of the original loop.  When I use stretch tempo it does weird things to the loop and it sounds off.  My Question: IS there a way to adjust the tempo of the loop AND KEEP THE SAME QUALITY of the loop?
