Working with volume envelopes
I'm working on this project with two guitar tracks. Each has a volume envelope where I have the volume come down when the verses come in and vice-versa.
Now I want to be able to control the overall level of each track. That is, while the nodes on the envelopes line up so the timing of the ups and downs is as I desire, I might wish to just drop the overall level of one track relative to the other, or both of them relative to the other instrument tracks.
It seems that I can only grab the envelope at individual nodes and move those up and down. Surely there is a way to select the entire envelope and raise or lower it as a whole?

If Offset mode doesn't work for you (and it CAN be a dangerous tool if you don't switch it off!) then it is possible to select the entire envelope, nodes & all and raise/lower it however much you want.
You can do this either in the dedicated Automation Lane or in the Track Lane itself by switching the Edit Filter to the desired automation curve.

How about just adjusting the Gain? EDIT: Also, from documentation Working With Automation Envelopes (NOTE, you'll need to place a Node at the end of your track/song if you desire to affect the entire track making sure nothing is selected in the timeline or select everything in the track you want to adjust). You can also use the Move tool. To raise/lower selected envelope nodes1. Set the track’s Edit Filter control to the desired automation parameter (Track Automation or Clip Automation). 2. Do one of the following:  With the Smart tool  , position the pointer near the top center of the track/clip, then drag up/down.With the Edit tool  , position the pointer near the top center of the track/clip, then drag up/down.

Gain could work. It happens before the FX rack and PRoChannel so, it may have some unwanted side-effects.
Another option is adding a volume slider at the end of the effects such as an empty FX Chain.

True Steve, sorry I was editing my post as you were posting. I knew there was probably some side effect of using Gain.

You can also click in the upper left hand corner of the track header on the left. That will select the entire envelope. Then you just pull down any node and it will pull all the others down too.
