Worst Movies of All Time
Never saw Ishtar but I pretty much agreed with a lot of folks that Plan 9 From Outer Space is the worst movie, of the ones I've ever seen. So bad you had to laugh.
But, I watched Conan the Barbarian the other night. Sheesh. What were they thinking?
I laughed and laughed and laughed some more. A new #1 on my list. And Oliver Stone was one of the writers!

I've seen a few stinkers..Deep Water, Gigli, Hudson Hawk. This looked great on the cover, Rutger Hauer, F Murray Abraham..got to be good, right?  Awful.

The one my song "Looking For You" plays in the final credits. Possibly the worst piece of crap ever commited to film. Thankfully it never made it to theaters, and to my knowledge has only been shown on public access cable in Los Angeles, and to the directors extremely disappointed mother. He sent me a dvd and it's at the bottom of a drawer I may never open again.

Check out the documentary film "The Best Worst Movie".
When you see a really bad movie, you wonder how it came to be. Did the makers know it was going to be bad, or did it just turn out that way? At what point did they realize it was a stinker? Did they care?
This documentary deals with what it claims is the world's worst movie, "Troll 2". Whether it deserves that title is debatable, but it definitely qualifies as a really bad movie. So bad that it's become a cult phenomenon.
On the subject of very bad movies, also recommended is "C.H.U.D.", an ultra-low budget "horror" film. It's unwatchably bad with none of Troll 2's charm. However, the DVD has a commentary track that is much more entertaining than the film itself. Watch it with the commentary turned on.

Well, C.H.U.D. as more of a cult film I think...now...the worst film I saw still has to be Waterworld with Kevin Costner...now THAT was a turkey of a movie..

If you're on Netflix, check out Rifftrax and The Film Crew. MST lives!!! OK, after a fashion. We don't have the robots, but the wisecracking voice overs are as sharp and funny as ever.

I was going to say anything by Lloyd Kaufman of Troma but he always makes up for bad movies with nudity. I'd have to say the worst movie I've ever seen is Suspiria by Dario Argento. Terrible, God awful movie.

I saw Suspiria in 1978 at the Lowry AFB theater. I thought it was weird, but I don't remember it as bad. I'll have to check it out again.
C.H.U.D. was a wreck, not even bad-funny. A movie I probably would have walked out on if I saw it in a theater. Instead I changed the channel.

The remake of Shape Of Things To Come, with Jack Palance and (I think) the actor who played the detective in The Fugitive. I paid good money in the late 70's and probably walked out.
We recently picked up a Roku for streaming Netflix and I tried to watch it again. Bad idea.
Last night I started to watch Hunter Prey, a bad Sci fi attempt and I should have known better.
Just remembered the actor's name..Barry Morse?
Roku is great, but I spend more time adding stuff to my instant queue than watching it.
Rockford Files/Cagney & Lacey/Have Gun Will Travel/Cheers. Hundreds of episodes of each...all lined up. But sometimes a little cringeworthy.
