Would like Gibson management to engage us on the following questions
Dear board of Gibson Can you please engage us and answer the following questions. 1. Is a new buyer sought for Cakewalk Sonar? 2. If this is not an option would you consider open sourcing Sonar? We as Sonar users have a vested financial and emotional interest in this software and I believe we are owed more transparency.

I am amused that you think anyone from Gibson would actually answer any of those questions let alone even lurk on this forum. They probably forgot they left it running.

"Let's figure out how to get more DAW sales", said no Gibson exec ever.

Sorry for my bad English, but I have to get rid of that now. I think it is absolutely crazy to sink such very good products into Nirvana at once. It will not be very long before these products developed over many years are irretrievably ruined by the tremendous behavior of the Cakewalk company owners. I can not imagine how to act so stupid and within a few days of such a large user base pull the ground under the foot and in the user forum lumbering all the competitors. Although I appreciate that other manufacturers offer us discounts, so does the invasion of these people in this forum but like a bomb which even the last faithful sonar users in panic their poor piggy bank smashed.
Cakewalk Sonar Platinum (Lifetime), Cakewalk by BandLab (Beta), Steinberg UR28M, Windows 8.1 , Notion 6 (Presonus), Dorico 1.2x (Steinberg), Cubase 9.5.x Pro. , Studio One 3.5x (Presonus), WaveLab Pro 9.5.x (Steinberg) Halion 6.x

Truth is before we even had word of the decision, Cakewalk employees were already sent packing, except for a skeleton crew to manage the transition. If Cakewalk happens to end up in the hands of a new owner, it will likely be Cakewalk in name only. None of the recent crew are likely to be back. It's done. Live with SONAR or find something new. But it's done.

The idea behind "corporatization" is to eliminate competition, and if you buy a product, now means you have two or three of them and of course, one of them (at least) is now expandable. This is the American economy nowadays, where the smaller products get eliminated as fast as possible, so that no "profit" ever goes back to the small town it came from, and the conversation is over. Stupidity is not something that the corporate America takes ... very seriously ... this is the memememememe generation and they do not care about your feelings, just my AC/DC and get lost! The idea being, of course, that if you don't like it ... too bad! Well, at least we know, by the internet, that until the FCC passes that one resolution (put the net in the hands of the corporations!!!!!!!), that VST's will have a lifetime of 30 days, before they are taken off the air, paid off to prevent showing that the creativity is not on that "new" software, but in the Internet ... on many independent VST's ... but with the Inet changing, guess what? Pretty soon it will just be another commercial highway to your computer, for your and mine stupidity!
Music is not about notes and chords! My poem is not about the computer or monitor or letters! It's about how I was able to translate it from my insides!
