Would you bid on this Marshall?

Been getting the urge to own a nice amp again (I do have an old Vox transistor combo, but it sounds very average)

Saw this yesterday;

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm...RL&hash=item20c8b7f018

I watched the vid and does have some very usable effects built in.

If there are no bids this could be a bargain, right?

    Yeah, that was my initial reaction. Being cautious though, I'm wondering;

    1) Why the start price is so low
    2) Why the seller only wants Paypal, when it's collect in person only - I'd be looking for cash to avoid the Paypal fees.
    3) Seller has 100% feedback, but hasn't sold anything since 2006..?

    Am I looking a gift horse in the mouth?

    The price will rise up in the final hour. Seen so many guitars over the past week with 50 quid starting prices, go for over 180-220 in the end. The one thing that could hold this one down is the collect in person requirment

    personally i'd go for a Peavey Vypyr (both me and Steve have one) or the Vox Valvetronix modelling amp over that Marshall, or something like Hughes and Kettner Edition Blue...the cheaper Marshalls get pretty average reviews.

    Hmm...that Vox Valvetronix looks sweet Mark. £129 and free delivery from Absolute Music. That's going to be cheaper than getting the Marshall for £80 (for example) and driving to Glasgow and back. Glad I asked!

    Nope. If it can't keep my pops cold....don't need it. :)

    Fun to bid on stuff though and it is a Marshall.

    I miss mine...  I had a '79 JMP modded by Mike Soldano (which is pretty much what Line 6 used to model for the POD's - that one was an '81 though).
