    Hi, Glenn,

Very cool song!  Well written, nicely played and sung, and a fresh, clean, modern sounding mix.

I really like that shimmering clean guitar tone, and the layered harmonies were excellent.  The song "65 Roses" that followed it was also really fantastic.

Great stuff, Glenn, thanks for sharing!

    Best Wishes,
    Bob

Way cool! I like the song structure, the lyrics, and your lead vocal, which is mixed pretty perfectly, nice and up front!

I would add a short bridge or something, just to break up the verse/chorus pattern. Just so the bass player doesn't go to sleep on ya. Nice bass line, though you might consider some subtractive eq, the bass sounded a little too full to my ears, it overwhelms the lower drums. I'd just suck out a little bass to let the kick breathe. Snare might be brought up just a bit.

No biggie tho, 'cause it grooves! It Grooooves!!!

the intro guitar has a touch of hi frequency cable hiss, you might try to eq that out.

thanks for sharing, man! good work!
    -Tom

Wow Great comments. Thanks so much for the tips. Often I don't hear something until someone points it out.
I do suffer from tinnitus which may be masking hiss, and my old rock and roll years have damaged both ends of the spectrum.

I like it...    As Tom mentioned, mix-wise the bass does step on the kick a bit, and there is a little hiss when the guitars are exposed.  But it's a cool song and very well played and arranged.  And your voice really reminds me of someone, I just can't quite place it.  Anyhow...  good tune!

    Thanks Steve.
The voice is probably Pavarotti, I get that a lot.

As noted above the kick is getting a little lost under the bass other than that it come across well here, nice job.

Thanks for the extra ears guys. Consensus is EQ for bass and drums. And listen for hiss on guitar. (lead or rhythm?)

    Yeah , I enjoyed your song ..
I can see that you know how to play a few chords on the guitar …
some of the songs sections and structures (musically not the vocs ) reminded me of Dave Mason and how his band sounded back in the day …
folks already gave you mix crits , so I won't go there ..
It was a good listen for sure
