Wouldn't it be great..

...if DimPro kept the chosen sound highlighted in the Program Browser so that when one decides to audition more sounds, one doesn't have to try and remember where the heck you found that particular sound. I have almost the entire DSF Collection and it gets really tedious to go back to where you left off.. Anyone else agree, or am I just lazy? :O)

no your not lazy, the other annoyance is the custom browser plays havoc with other things (same with Rapture) e.g. NI kore..

so you can't include the programs within that, because it uses a none standard preset format (z3ta imports IRC) .

I like kore as you can rate the sounds etc.. which I find handy much like you can with sound
    centre center.

@LJB Yep I would agree to that, I find rapture does the same.

SONAR Plus has a Dimension / Rapture preset search facility if that's any use to you? You can instantly find any preset by name, or just part of its name. Screenshot shown in link below:

    http://www.sonarplus.co.uk/Pages/About.aspx

Also handy for finding all presets of a certain type, such as finding all presets that contain the word 'piano'.

I'm with you on this one too LJB. I brought this up years ago when I first had dimension pro. Not having a keyword search facility either is a pain. It would appear there's laziness afoot, but it's not from you, bro :)

Howzit Ludwig, yes, it seems you and I are the only two guys with legit copies of Sonar on our continent.

I reported the absence of persistent patch selection highlighting to Cake as a feature request, so we might see this happen in our lifetimes. The same problem is also valid for the Rapture synth. The only cure is Sonar Plus. Think I'll ask Ben if he can solve this for us.

Funny thing is I know you are not really joking.  I ran the sound department at Sun City between 1992 and 1994.  I built studio there with a Tascam 24 Channel console (with timecode automation), 3 ADATs, a Microlynx, and one of the 3 Lexicon 480Ls in the country (Bop Studios had the other 2).  Also have a Pro Tools setup on a Mac Quadra with <drum roll> 1GB SCSI Drives (Rack mounted lol), Sample Cell and Vision.

In the Arena I had the only Crown IQ system in SA.  Costs were insane even then.

I loved it there.  Would play in the staff pub or the Monkey bar once a week for fun.  Was my studio still there, and how was Alan Barry doing?  I used to get to visit Bop Studios every couple of months for a mixdown of a bowl show - great place.

    Cheers..Grif
