Wouldn't it be handy to be able to express a send level as a % of the fader?
I've been gradually moving all track faders down together in a mix, in order to bring the master peak level down. A little here, a little there. And all tonight I've been fighting with a niggling muddiness in the song, until it dawned on me that I didn't bring down my reverb sends on each track in the same proportion. So I muted the reverb bus, and wow, there it was, all of the earlier clarity back. No problem of course, I just brought the reverb bus fader down until the reverb was at the right level again. So wouldn't it be handy to be able to dial in a send level as a % of the fader level, so that when you move the fader down, the send level goes down with it? Rather like the send pan being tied to the track pan? Disclaimer: I'm on NO sleep. So there is the possibility I'm just talking out of my backside Update: It appears that yes, I AM talking out of my backside. Pre/Post etc. Goodnight everyone!

scott - i was thinking about recommending that as well but it doesn't always work as expected, esp with defined ranges and min max values.... not to mention track volume is actually listed as gain in a group and the input gain is listed as volume (and i know how much stuff like that drives sharke nuts!) ;P
