Write Automation "W" Button on Synth in Synth Rack

Before I submit a bug report, I just want to know wether I don't understand how it's meant to work, and/or if others see this behaviour, too:

Sonar X1 x64 build 255:#

1) Add a Synth to the Synth Rack (I instantiated TAL Bass-Line 64bit), inserted as a simple synthtrack
2) click on the "W" to the right of the synth (enable Write Automation, the button turns red)
3) establish a looped region in the time line, activate looped playback
4) start transport (using spacebar) and turn a knob in the Synth GUI (I used the volume knob)

Automation data for the synth parameter "volume" gets written and visualized in the track.

Problem A) Turn the knob further... When the playback cursor reaches the loop end and jumps back to the loop start, no more automation is visualized, but still written (when you stop playback, the data gets painted in the track)

5) stop playback using spacebar

Problem B) try to switch off write automation in the synth rack to the right of the synth: click on the red "W" button... It doesn't switch off, but stays red and write enabled instead. No way to turn write enable off.

You have to right click the W button, bring up the automation parameters window, click on "disable write automation for all", leave the window...

The "W" write enable button gets greyed out, you can no more write enable the synth, without using the "automation parameter window and checking the parameters you want to write enable there", The "W" button doesn't work anymore...

Anyone?

Hold your horses...14 hours is not that long to wait for an answer. I'd say 24 hours is a normal time to wait before getting impatient.

It has never occurred to me to try automation writing on a looped section. I don't know if it's got anything to do with it, but I would try without looping, because that rewrites the automation every time it loops. Sounds like a potential problem to me.
