X1 Colors: "Lets Roll" Please input feature request and reply here.

Ok so I'm not trying to start a revolution here.  I love CW.  Always have.  Just a quick and simple post to mobilize the people who are not best pleased about X1's removal of Color customization and Track Folder indents.

I'm sure we're all aware of http://www.sonarmods.com at this point and we also have heard from those who are not interested in these features.  So it would be good if this thread would remain pretty strict in its responses.  If your happy as is then you have no need to read on.  If your not then please see below:

Click the link and input your feature request.  Simple and takes 1 min.  You can even copy/paste this in the title box of this page if your feeling lazy.

Color Customization and return of Track Folder Indents

http://www.cakewalk.com/support/contact/featurerequest.aspx

As soon as you have contributed your feature request please mark +1 in response to this thread, so nobody can say we have not made an effort for this.

Thanks for your time...

P.S. I hope any combatants will forgive this last attempt.

    I sent the following details:

Bring back all the color customization of ALL the visual elements as in 8.5.
Please display them immediately without requiring an application restart.
NICE TO HAVE:  I'd love to be able to just click on a visual element and change its color, rather than having to search through a massive list and try to guess what it might be called.

Folder indents as before in 8.5.
    NICE TO HAVE:  Nested Folders.

One feature that would be nice is if you could hover your mouse over an FX in the FX Bin and see a preview bubble come up like it does when you hover over an app in the task bar in Windows 7. That would very helpful.

I think its safe to say that people who are only concerned with Sonar X1's colors are just playing around and not serious users. My old TEAC 40-4 recorder only came in one color: brushed aluminum and fake wood grain. Get over it!

Eqsqueeze...me?  I've made my living with Cake products for many, many years, ol pal and even tho I may be somewhat of a dimbulb I do NOT consider myself to be just "playing around"...and I want my color customization back.  I am most defiinitely a serious user and I'll put my acumen AND my music production skills up against yours anytime, anywhere and anyplace.  Like my grandmom used to say...don't let your mouth overload your rear end.  No sunglasses needed.  Unless, of course, you're just joshin...in which case...nice Joke, Dave, ol pal.

+1 to both, some time ago. Also a comment that it's generally considered poor programming to tie down gui colours because doing so has accessibility implications (which also means sales implications).

Or maybe those who are totally unconcerned with the lack of color customization aren't serious SONAR users, don't use it for substantial # of hours per day/week, etc.

I don't care that much about major customisations as I like the colours mostly but there are a few things like the invisible ghosted data that need changing and you should be able to edit such things as you want

Stare into your headlights for 5 minutes and get over it. The default colors of X1 feel like that to me. Obviously, I don't want you to do it and would be crazy to think that you would. Imagine how I feel and others who,  like me, have low vision.

Would you also like me to 'get over' my poor low-light vision too Dave?

Being able to customise previous versions of SONAR with high contrast settings made using the program much easier for me.

But as usual, as long as it doesn't affect you, that's all that matters I guess
