X1 Finished song on YouTube
I finished a song I wrote called "I Love This Country" and uploaded it to YouTube today. I used X1 for all tracks. Used ProChannel for vocals and guitars (EQ and Comp) and GR 4 for an electric guitar part. Drums were using SD3. I used Boost11 on the master out to get a little more gain. I then used Windows Movie Maker 2.6 and after creating the lyrics (sorry for how primitive it is and the miss-spelling) I saved that file using as Broadband @ 340KBPS and then uploaded to YouTube. If anyone has a better sonic path to use to upload to YouTube while using Movie Maker 2, I would like to know what it is. The file size was around 8 megs as it is but I think the song songs pretty good even after all the processing. I thought some of you might be interested in how this was done. I also really do respect those that serve in our military and wanted to thank them in my own way. I have been playing this song live around town here in Paso Robles and at my church and it has been received well. Here's the link to YouTube: YouTube: "I Love This Country" Hope you like it. Rimshot

You do know that X1 can't make a great song like that so it must be fake or done in 8.5.3. Thanks from a vet.

Rimshot, In order to have better audio, you need to post the video in hi resolution video (even though your video only have low resolution pics). I noticed that your video only have 240p selection. Youtube audio will automatically match your video resolution if a higher one is available. Cheers!

John... you are a vet? Now I understand some certain 'stabilities of thought' (if that is anywhere near the right phrase) in your posts. Thank you. Apologies to OP for off topic... will definitely check the You Tube clip though. EDIT: enjoyed it... certainly a clear theme with a strong chorus and translated pretty well on the laptop speakers. Reminded me marginally of Archie Roach material here in Australia. Cheers. (messy Firefox edits complete )

Mully, Appreciate your comments. I will check out Archie Roach. EDIT: I am awestruck with Archie Roach! A great man, musician, singer and songwriter, and mover. Thank you for introducing me to him. Rimshot

I like this song. Great job and a good way to thank our troops for their service. It's too bad they are being used for financial gain for the few while the many hold up those small few with their pain, suffering and loss. The war on terror should be against ourselves and in effect, it really is. "If you want to stop terrorism, stop doing it." (Noam Chomsky - professor at MIT) Again, great song!

You did well getting the acoustic guitar and tambourine to work together. It's hard to make them bright without making them harsh.
