X1: Missing track waveforms but audio is still there????
Hello, I just starting working with X1 Producer and I noticed that some of the tracks have randomly flatlined on me. In other words, the visual waveform for the recorded track is missing the waveform and is only represented by a flat line, as if nothing was recorded at all. The actual audio IS there, however. The waveform WAS normal looking when the track was originally recorded and only manifested in this manner after the project was closed and then subsequently opened again at a later date. So where did the visual representation of my recorded track go? Also, it seems sporadic. It will happen to one or two tracks and not the others and it has happened in both of the two projects I have started in X1. Very weird. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance all. P.S. how do you get the save, open, close functions to appear on the GUI? Or can't you?

S Effren - actually this isn't the X1 forum, but I can give you some help, I think. I'm not sure why it would do what you're describing, but you can get it to redraw the waveforms by deleting all of the *.wov files in the picture cache folder. go to preferences to find out where the picture cache folder is and just use windows explorer to delete all of the wov files in that folder, after restarting each of your projects, sonar will redraw your wave files. save, open, close, etc is not available in X1 on the GUI. benstat has created a program called Sonar Plus that will add a toolbar strip to X1 with these and other functions if you're interested in that. http://www.sonarplus.co.uk/

I haven't installed X1 yet, but is it similar to 8.5.3 an prior versions ,,, CTRL-A to select all clips Right Click on one of the clips Choose Clip Properties Audio Files Tab Recompute Pictures -D

B: Thanks for the clarification - I have taken longer to move to X1 than any other upgrade - honestly everytime I hear something like this I know why. Best -D
