X1 Producer unstable

I'm used to a work flow style that includes making changes on the fly. I'll start the transport, then while the project plays, I make changes to note values, envelope values, add fx, etc. Its never been a problem really, up through producer 8.5.3. With X1, the program keeps freezing. I have to dump it and start over. This is a real pain in the neck. I've dropped back to 8.5.3 so I can just get some work done. Anybody else getting this? Any suggestions to get X1 running smoothly? Any chance X2 won't be such a big complainer?

I've narrowed "most" of my crashes down to using the Cakewalk 32 bit plug ins with 64 bit X1 and my Ariel player for my Garritan libraries.  My uneducated guess is that bitbridge does not play nice with X1 on my system.

Both are stable on 8.5.3 on my system so I stick with that and only use X1 when mixing projects that dont need those plug ins.  Hopefully they figure out in X1b

Hi Mike - I think it's a really good guess. I think Max would tell you off the record there are unresolved teleport/64 bit OS issues. Anyway, there doesn't seem to be any other option than to drop back to producer 8.5 and put up with the minor problems Cakewalk will no longer fix. Maybe I'll just wander over to the C6 forum and listen to what their users think of that product. I'm a long time SONAR user but it might be time to develop a fall back plan.

Yeah I like to download movies while I'm recording and I usually have a web browser open.
Definatily no issues with stability here.

I find X1 Producer freezes quite a bit.  The only thing that seems to increase it to several times a day is when I have z3ta+ loaded in a project.

I've noticed this too that some 32-bit VST plugins can cause Sonar Producer X1a 64-bit to freeze due to the Teleport Server crashing). I don't have the 32-bit version of Sonar Producer X1 installed. If I absolutely need to have something from a 32-bit plugin that I've noticed has caused this to happen I'll use the 32-bit version of Reaper instead.

I also see the problem when adding Waves fx. I went thru Zyler's above list of fixes in the X1b patch and I don't see any addressing process improvements for using 32 bit plug-ins in the 64 bit host. Hope it's in there somewhere.
