X1 - making measures without playing in a reference track

Is there a way for Sonar to score the correct measures without having to play in a refernce track? Can a a plug-in intuit the beats? What plug-in would that be?

    Audiosnap's Set Project from Clip function does this, but it takes some work to get a good result. The amount of work depends heavily on the nature of the source material. There are tons of existing threads on the subject, some with youtube links.
