X1 playing everything two time faster - sometimes

Is anybody having this issue?

Sometimes, not consistently, X1 is playing everything at twice (I think) the normal speed. It is like the master clock is set to the wrong frequency. Audio is faster and an octave (again, I am not certain what the factor is) higher. Midi plays faster. Everything is still in sync - just faster.

If I load another project, everything may go back to normal. Sometimes I have to restart Sonar and my MOTU interface, once or twice or ...
I have not found a reproducible way of creating the issue or of making it go away.
Nothing is stored in the files. It does not depend on the project.

I am running X1 Producer 64 under Windows 7 64.

Nothing crashes. All other programs work fine. X1 also does not crash.

Any idea?

Thanks,

Wilko

I don't know if it's possible for the sample rate to get changed by itself for some reason, but those symptoms do refer to a sample rate mismatch between MOTU and SONAR.

SONAR PE 8.5.3, Asus P5B, 2,4 Ghz Dual Core, 4 Gb RAM, GF 7300, EMU 1820, Bluetube Pre  -  Kontakt4, Ozone, Addictive Drums, PSP Mixpack2, Melda Creative Pack, Melodyne Plugin etc.

Yes, It happened once with my X1. After installing X1a patch this problem never returned, but:
    - runtime error (MS redistributable....etc...) happens every day, every hour... :-)
    - quantizing audio with Audio Snap is not working at all
    - detecting "zero transients" in audio material.....happens (never know when ;-) )
    - Q kybd shortcut don't work in piano roll view sometimes.
    - Piano roll window randomly opens with Velocity bars visible, although Menu>Notes>Show Velocity is unmarked
    etc....
