X1 question: Is the GUI bigger than previous versions?

Looking at some shots of X1 with softsynths.  It looks like the whole screen is bigger and even softsynths take up much more room over the interface.

Screen rez is at 1280 by 960 and all other programs look normal.  Am i going mad or is there some option within X1 to resize?

I'm not wild about the new GUI- it does seem larger (clunkier?) and I don't like the browser and pro channel side bars taking up space when they are minimized. I bet future iterations provide more user tweakability with colors/gui/tools etc.
But I have already done a lot of recording with X1- principally audio admittedly- and I can honestly say I would not go back to 8.5.

On the whole, I think X1 is generally bigger, ie. lots of things are bigger and have more space between them than before.

You can hide the Control Bar by pressing 'C' on your keyboard (press it again to show it). That saves quite a lot of screen space.

Another idea if you're struggling to fit everything in is to use SONAR Plus which has a Full Screen Mode. Basically it makes SONAR temporarily occupy the WHOLE screen (even the space normally taken up by the Windows taskbar). That can buy you valuable vertical space. Click the image in my sig for more info if you're interested.

    My DAW: Intel i5, Cakewalk UA-1G, Win7 64 bit, SONAR X1a Producer 64 bit

If that's true then its about time they made it bigger!
Buy a new modern LED screen in resolution 1920 x 1080 if you think its to big today...
