X1 shifts recorded clip to the right

I've had something strange happen a few times. I can't confirm it, but it seems to only happen if I'm recording a clip in between 2 previously recorded clips. In other words, on the same track, I have a 30 second clip recorded at 1:00. I have another recorded clip at 2:00. I arm the same track and record a 3rd clip at 1:30. Sometimes - not always - Sonar shifts that 3rd track to the right 1 bar. As long as Snap is enabled I've been able to simply drag in back into time. But it's strange. I don't know if it's being recorded that way, or if it is actually happening after I hit stop.

Has this happened to anyone else?

This sounds like the "Slide over to make room" feature, or whatever it's called, at work

Or - it could be your snap settings.

One thing to try is locking the clips before you start recording, this might help.

Would musical snap time enabled and set at 1 measure do that?

It may very well be something in the settings, but if that were the case it seems like it would happen every time. In fact, last night I tried to reproduce the problem and couldn't. Oh well. It's not a big enough deal to fuss too much about. If it happens often it might be. If I can reproduce the problem I'll post an update.

    Thanks!
