X-1, swelling midi strings as in Logic

Someone showed me how in Apple Logic you can make your midi strings swell by drawing a curve above the notes. Can you do that in X-1?

that would be perhaps the midi master volume CC message 127 or is it 7 ?  IRC.

I only remember 10 (pan) as I used it so much

it all depends on the strings also.. I mean I have GPO.. and if you move the mod-wheel that changes the sound etc.

it's hard to give you a precise answer without knowing besides logic what / who made the strings thing..

    it's a midi module and NOT a vst-i right ?

you want to open the piano roll and select CC11 in the drop down on the left. then you can draw in swells and fades. CC11 is different from CC7. CC7 actually controls the global volume -- it will move the fader. CC11 does not move the fader so you can still manage the overall volume separately.

Kman88 is correct and it is very easy.  I just would like to add that if you are going to do this a lot in Logic or Sonar you would be well served to use a midi fader instead of drawing the fades in and out.  You will be able to use your ears and get much more natural fades in and out.  And in the long run, work much faster.
