X1 upgrade still not in my account

X1 upgrade still not in my account

I have contacted customer support TWICE but still heard nothing. This was weeks ago. 


 I purchased the 8.5 with free upgrade to X1. I received 8.5, no problems but X1 never came in. When I go into my account, if I select X1, I am asked to purchase it. not good. 

 Anyone else experience this or have any solutions? I've never really had an issue with Cakewalk but I'm starting to see the truth in some of the people moaning now...

    Call them if you can.  I had the same issue, but after a phone call it was resolved.  I realize you are in the UK, and this may not be an option for you, but thought I would put it out there.

    TBH i don't really want to call the USA from UK and wait for hours on the phone at my expense. 

     Customer services/support via Email should work, should it not?

    It's known to be, er, "buggy" as well sometimes. I have never had problems with e-mail support but from time to time there has been some desperate cries over it here on the forums.

    You can always get skype credits and call Cakewalk really cheap. If you've been waiting for the free upgrade since November it's starting to be quite ridiculous.

    I do have skype, never thought of that good shout. Shouldn't really have to though. 

     ProjectM: tbh, I have 8.5 working right now and after reading all the stuff wrong with X1 I've decided I'm not really in a hurry X1. 

     At least I can make music for now. :)

    I bought 8.5 producer last week, registered Friday. 
    Saturday, I received some emails, containing needed serials for x1 plus additional products.
    These serials should also be shown in your web store account.
    When serials are assigned to your account, X1 can be downloaded here: http://www.store.cakewalk.com/b2ceuro/ProductInfo.aspx?productid=10-CXSP1.00-4RE

    All in all X1 is running "good", only few crashes, not really a problem for me.
    And I'm firmly convinced, that "good" will move into "great".

    I know that I've to save my project, whenever I've reached a save worth status.
    But that procedure I'm used to, in every DAW I used
    I'm very happy with X1a, for me it's my personal favorite, while I'm still quit new to is.

    I never had thought about using 8.5, don't like the GUI.
    Just did it for getting X1 as it's a deal until the end of month.
    -> and didn't regret that
