X1 versus Platnum optimisation
Hi Guyz !!
Ok i'm heavy testing Platnum now , for my own use and to validate it for my students , by the way i take the opportunity to say that i'm kinda of tired of buying stuff to test it ...i emailed Craig for each release (X3 and Platnum) to say that i try to really give cakewalk the exposure it really deserve at the PARIS SAE ....not to be cool with cake but because i really think sonar is in the top 3 daws around , made a studio around it in the SAE and giving course with it ....
I asked him just to try to get a pre release or a NFR just to test ....no response ...
I don't mind at all buying stuff .......but just to test it's a pity , can't wait for months for demo's since students are waiting for my advises to jump on it or not ... at least an answer time to time would be cool !!!
Anyway not the subject here ...
When i tested X3 it was great but optimistaion wise , not crazy to not say bah !
I'm surprised to say that while platnum seems better than X3 i still don't think it's as optiised as X1 ....
By the way system is a Molten comp with all SSD (samsung evo for OS and Data) , RME UCX , Win 8 64 , 16gb of Ram I7 4790...
256 Sample buffer
here's one of the test i made in it ....i also tested the VST 3 "idle stuff" = nothing no need to bother migrate ....

any feedback or comments on what can cause this slower insertion ? of course same seetings and set up
