X1C - V-Vocal still crashing

X1C 64bit is rock solid.  It never crashes - except from time to time with V-Vocal.  The crashing happens usually upon creating the V-Vocal clip during the encoding process.  It is intermittent and I can't replicate it.  It has crashed my system throughout the years - spanning three or for different DAW's and operating systems - 32bit and 64bit.  It seems to be unrelated to operating systems, Sonar versions, computer hardware or audio intefaces.  It seems to be a buggy plug-in.

Make sure you have the cronus.dll included in your plugins. For some reason it usually is excluded!! That seemed to make V-vocal work better for me.

Thanks -  I checked and I do have cronus.dll and the others in the shared dxi folder.  Because of my previous experience leaving V-Vocal open in a project - corrupting the project completely - I never leave V-Vocal clips open.  Immediately after using it I always bounce to clips.

The crashing for me is only upon opening a new V-Vocal clip.

Look in plugin manager and see if cronus is included or excluded.

It is excluded!  Not sure why.  Not sure what cronus.dll is for?  I'll include and see if it makes a difference.

Don't know why this is always excluded from plugins! Make no sense! But since I've included it and rescaned plugs VVocal works as it should. Same for you?

I don't know - I haven't been able to test yet.  For me the V-Vocal is so intermittent - it may take months before the next crash.
