    Hi all,

No updates for the VS-700 integration in X1c. Some ACT stability improvements overall, but not specific to the VS-700.  Out of curiosity, what new stuff are you looking for?

    Cheers,

    Hi Samara,

Thanks for the info.  I've updated to a new PC and have noticed little oddities but nothing I can nail down and submit as a problem report (for example, audio froze on me a couple of days ago but a reboot got me back up and running though I lost some of the mix edit's I had done but not saved).  I'll see if the update makes thing's run smooth.

As for new stuff, most of what I would like to see would probably be in updates for the drivers and control panel apps.  I'd love to see some of the graphic UI improvements that are in the Quad Capture app.  I also can't seem to get the VS-700 to boot up with a default that sync's the VS-700 with my Octa Capture.  Not a big problem but would be nice to just turn on and go.  Do you know if Roland is planning on any updates to the drivers for both the VS-700 and/or the Octa Capture?  Thanks again.

    Cheers,

Yeah there wouldn't be much that could be changed I don't think with regards to 700 integration from the X1 update. Biggest thing I found with the control app interface for the 700R was saving as a preset which wouldn't load back up as saved. Weird.

I've reverted to using 8.5 again too for anything initially created in it as X1 is just too unpredictable with older projects.... nothing to do with the 700 series though I don't think.

One other thing that was a gotcha too on the weekend recording session was enabling the front AUX input for tracking guitar as a guide with drums and then noticing that things didn't look right when recording. I had to reassign all the inputs for the drums as they went out of sequence which was a near disaster when you're working with a new band. End result is that I'll leave the AUX enabled all the time now.

Cheers and thanks Samara for the input!

I would love to see a rewrite for the V-synth pages... The interface is just very cluttered. Additionally, the synth page needs a fast way to audition sounds.

+1 here Zo.... Finding now that a more serious project is underway that there a few things it would be nice to get onto the surface OR a lot more option to configure more buttons. That would solve most of it. Would also LOVE to be able to configure the scroll functions to be able to edit and zoom files etc a lot easier than multiple hold downs to get the desired function.
