X1C killed Sound Forge 10?

Installed the C update and, wham, I can no longer launch SF10 from the tools menu? Acts like it is going to launch, then nothing.
Can C be rolled back to B. Well, guess I should look first

Hi, what do you mean when you say it acts like it's going to launch? Are you getting a splash screen? If so, does the splash screen stop on a particular startup routine shown on the bottom left of the dialog? Just asking because it's working okay here.

I'm assuming SF launches okay standalone? If the SONAR registry key for SF is still okay, then I suppose it could have something to do with the tooltemp directory SONAR uses to create a temporary file for the audio while editing. Maybe a permission problem on the folder? I can't even remember where I used to set that variable. Let me take a look.

I'm on Win7 32-bit, but my temp audio files are getting copied to F:\Users\UserName\AppData\Local\temp\ (my OS is on the F drive)

Maybe you can pop open the folder when you're launching from the tools menu and see if anything is getting copied to that folder (or whatever the folder is on Win7 64).

Their support site is down? Coincidence? Yes it's a fully registered paid for (too much) version

Maybe just try a reinstall of SF then (I'm master of the obvious).

    Hey Step
I was about to, but decided to check the system resore folder. There was an auto restore today at 12:16pm EST? Don't know why I didn't do or add anything. Anyway restoring to 12 hours ago did the trick.
Thanks to all for the responses.

Also launches from Sonar Tools menu as it did before

    Reboot your PC?
Also I stopped (disabled) Sound Forge from auto scanning for VST's. I had issues especially with SF10 with this factor.

Also, there are regular updates I have ver 10.c

I was typing and also saw there website being down.

    Anyway,  cool........

It works for me in X1C (x64)

for next time if it causes problems again, I'd first check the registry to make sure that it's not become corrupted?

    heres where it should be:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Cakewalk Music Software\Tools Menu\Sound Forge 10
