+1 from me too. Nice work, although I think this was the most convoluted set of update instructions, with the most manual intervention I can remember for any update. I see a few posts where folks came unstuck. Not complaining as such, since it worked fine for me, but I am surprised.

I am happy so far with X1d it seems to be quite snappy. Has anyone experienced this or is it just my imagination running away with me?

I have to chime in and agree that X1D is very solid, and I am very pleased to see CW continue to dedicate themselves to their flagship product's stability and functionality.

This is a very solid update so far and CW is very due the kudos for their effort and committment.

    Thank you CW and Bakers.

I must agree that x1d seems very stable. I think on a list of priorities in everywalk of life stability and functionality are the top criterias. Who wants to be on a ship where the captain is a drunkard and and does not know east from west.

Roland seems to be a good compass for Sonar.

    Cakewalk by Roland

Roland have to make sure the ship is water tight for any association and lack of credibility is not good. I still have a midi controller from back in the day that is as sturdy as the day I bought it. So durability is something that I can say Roland go by.

Cakewalk would do to walk in their shoes.

So yes it seems stable so far and as for functionality I am impressed so far.

I can't believe I am typing these words. Is this the Cakewalk forums (not Presonus)

Finally had a chance to push and play with it last night. Must say it is still (X1c Expanded was very stable also) very stable and the improvements are dy-no-mite!

Thanks Cakewalk! I've never felt better about your product and my commitment to it.

+1, however, Common sense is NOT common - as I was carrying out the install instructions I was thinking about the less technical users. It was a tad convoluted.

Oh this one nearly had me in tears trying to get it to work!

Has cake ever done something like this before (I mean the update)

I had to delete the build number 326 and un install and re install sonar then add x1c and then d.

I am glad I did though.

    It really works well.

Before the metronome was like a slippery eel that I had to try and pin down.

Now its like a dog trying to catch flees!

The more and more I dig in to Sonar, the more I appreciate the program.  I've tried, and own, one or two others and am convinced X1 is the one that fits my needs and flow the best.  It does everything I need it to do with no glaring deficiencies.

    Well done CW.

    Cheers.

Well, when's the last time anybody had to roll back for a Sonar update? Or, to update just about anything? I mean, do you read the instructions every time Adobe updater tells you there is an update available? Last time I checked, having to roll back is NOT a common thing.

IMO if anything was dumb, it was the update instructions.

I think you'll find Sonar is an order of magnitude more comples than Adobe, besides, why would you NOT read the clearly marked "Installation Instructions"
