X1D Problem!.. fast Bouncing to clip with Melodyne (64bit) and Antares Auto-tune...
Since the X1D update. I have found that I cannot bounce Melodyne or Antares to clip, tracks, or freeze properly with Fast Bounce enabled. Can anyone else confirm this? X1C worked properly (on this particular issue) 8.53 works as expected. X1D: Insert melodyne into clip (or FX bin for that matter) Transfer the audio, Correct the pitch (transpose to a different key is good for verifying easier), listen to the good correct pitch or fun transposition, stop, highlight clip with the effect, hit bounce to clip with FAST BOUNCE enabled, wait till finished, play, notice that the audio hasn't been processed at all. With auto tune evo, graphically edited material will not bounce to clip properly. I have contacted customer support and sent in files, Waiting to hear more.

Uncheck the TrackFX button in Freeze Options. Looks like the button state is out of whack. Dan

hmm interesting... What about bounce - uncheck something for that to get the bounce to stick? I have this exact problem with Melodyne! Even in X1C or X1D 8.5.3 works fine- Lance

I noticed this just last week. When freezing a track with Melodyne on it, the corrections from melodyne don't stick. I emailed Melodyne about it but never got a response back (I assumed it was a Melodyne issue, when freezing an audio track with any other of my audio plugins.. the plugin is applied.

Yes,you are very right. I noticed this last week. Fast bounce is knackered using Melodyne. Its works with real time bounce ok. Was ok until X1d so not a Melodyne fault. Along with the damn Melodyne plugin stability issue (now recognised bt Celemony as a leakage problem that they aim to fix) the relationship between Melodyne and Soinar is not usable I'm afraid.

I have no buggy problems with melodyne. It works quite well. My only issue is that it doesnt bounce the work when using fast bounce in X1c and on- Again, works fine in 8.5.3- Lance

When I want to permanently apply the Melodyne lately, I've been going the route... Bounce to track / What you hear - realtime audible. This seems to be the only way to apply it.

In X1c I've had hangs in doing that (bounce to tracks), but I will admit my buffers were low (128), need to try it in X1d with/without higher buffers. Not sure if I had fast bounce on, never checked it. Will have to be more scientific on my next Melodyne go.

fast bounce off and bounce to another track, no problem here- I want fast bounce to clip and melodyne effects applied back - this is the quick way to work with this. maybe it is simply a setting somewhere, but I wouldnt think so since other plugin effects do transfer when fast bouncing to clip. Noticed this problem as well, emailed Cakewalk and never heard anything back. Very frustrating - slow bouncing everything takes so much longer. Im thinking Ill just have to revert to X1C. Very annoying. P.S. Experimented with the freeze options as mentioned above, but no noticeable difference.

Anyone know if its easy to revert back to X1c, or do I have to completely reinstall from scratch and patch my way up there?

I've been wanting Melodyne Editor for quite some time and have been watching the forum and seeing various issues with it. I would even consider the Presonus integrated, but it is only the version that doesn't do DNA which is what I really want. I would buy Melodyne Editor in a minute if were integrated a bit better in X1.

The effects apply in any version of X1 when you bounce to clip? i.e. you insert Melodyne into a clip and then transfer the clip into melodyne the way it has to be done, then you do some editing and bounce the clip? In all of X1 version, I have found the Melodyne edits do not "stick" when bouncing to clip. Works fine in 8.5.3 I highly doubt anybody has it working in X1. Ive tried this with every version of X1. I recently discovered the same issue with a delay program called AdrenaLinn Sync. It's software version of the popular pedal, Adrenalinn III. The delays are highly dependent on the session tempo, but when I fast bounce the delay is out of sync with the project. But when I uncheck fast bounce it works fine. I just chalked it up to something screwy with the session. But maybe it's a glitch? This never happened in X1C.

digimidi, It doesn't take forever, just real time, so it's not a major bug, more a minor irritation. But it ought to be fixed. Also, I don't find it a major issue as I always think it wise to split my vocal tracks into clips and only use Melodyne on one clip at a time, so bouncing in real time only takes seconds. I got into that habit when I was having the lockup troubles I described above, but it makes sense to do that I think, and if you have to do corrections to the whole track then the vocal perhaps need re-doing anyway! (I have reason to believe the lockup problems will soon be a thing of the past. Clue: the letter that follows Alpha...) Thanks for taking a listen to my musical meanderings - glad you enjoyed some!
