So I got the email announcing the new upgrade for "D"..... But looking at the posts here is a bit frightening for some.... I'll bet my upgrade goes smooth....still I might consider a backup restore point first.....then again... I wonder do I even need it? Of course I do......

Its not a big deal lol. Even if you dont follow directions like so many people here have not done, it is pretty fool proof to get right after the fact. Lance

The install went smoothly and swiftly.
Software: Cakewalk by Bandlab; Adobe Audition; Band-in-A-Box audiophile; Izotope Ozone; Encore; Melodyne; Win 10 Pro, 64-bit. Hardware: Focusrite Scarlett 18i20 2nd; Roland Integra-7; TCE Finalizer; Presonus Central Station, Behringer X-Touch. Home built i7 with 16 GB RAM, SSDs.

Whats this about installing over X1 Expanded build 425. I'm build 434. Surley they mean 425 or above don't they...? Anybody insatlled over build 434?

You can't install X1D over build 434, you have to roll back to build 425. Read the installation instructions for X1D, it's all in there.

I figure mine will go smooth too... it's downloaded into the biz box... now I need to copy it to the DAW and fine the time to install it....

Took me about 5 minutes total. Just make sure you rollback the quickfix. It was very easy.
