X1D what's the verdict?

After my drive got erased i am starting totally new. even bought a new computer. finished installing everything. all those plug ins i bought - took me two weeks to have everything back on track. Now i have the chance to go from X1 Expanded to X1D. I know about the new stuff i will get. But what new bugs come with it you would consider serious? And: Can I use Sonar Plus still? Thanks for sharing your opinions, Cyph

Apparently the people posting above don't use the staff view.

Same bugs since X1c:  Snap-to functions do not work when entering notes on staff view.
Track pane in staff view doesn't switch active tracks, as in all
                                        previous versions of Sonar.

Often piano roll view and staff views do not refresh properly,
remnants of old view still present

These bugs (and others in event list) keep me from using it.  I've always upgraded, this time no way.  Cakewalk is simply not listening to users who spend a lot of time in the staff view when sequencing.

I dont use the staff view, so dont know what the issue is there. But, X1D rocks - been using it all day for tracking and mixing, with 3d Party plugs too. All solid. In fact, I have not had ONE crash since X1 Expanded.

Don't use the staff view either but the best verdict indicator I can see are the almost non-existent bug/complaint posts.  Almost everyone is very happy (including me...very happy) with the new release.

SONAR X1d Expanded is most excellent. It is the absolute very best SONAR yet. I only use staff view on a very rare occasion so I have not encountered any bugs there, but as for the rest, I simply cannot find anything wrong at all.

Greatful for the improvements, But seems even more buggy, more so with graphics jumbling and Freezing etc only evident with sonar ever, and some weird additions to Functions not behaving as they should, sometimes they work sometimes they dont, but no point in going over it in detail now, i will sit on these and compile a good note for your bakers this time round,as suppose to leaving these unreported more often than not, i think its time to do some constructive Videos for the bakers.
But i would say half of my issues probally arise from 32bit to 64bit Sonar Bridge, so its just taking these out of the equation, after all Bridging is never going to be stable !!!!!!!!!.

My verdict so far is, I just can't believe that X1 is a Cakewalk product, since the release of X1d, it functions like a top tier DAW application.

Solid here.  I know this is subjective, but it seems faster.  I know I have a fast machine and I did not expect to see a noticable improvement, but the speed of switching screensets and loading of vsts "seems" to have improved.  No crashes for me.
