X1a Patch install problem.

I just upgraded to X1.  The install went fine.  I installed it on my D drive.

When I went to install the X1a patch, it complained because it was looking for the software to be installed on my C: drive.

Anyone know of a way to install the patch without having to uninstall everything & install it all on C: ???????????

Thanks

Joe

If you can temporarily rename your D: drive to C: it might be the only way you have.

There are good reasons why programs use specific default installation routines.

Renaming the drives sounds like it will open a whole can of worms.

If the software allows you to install it on another drive, the patch should also.

    Anyone else have any ideas?

Hi Joe.  I too have Sonar (and all my music programs) installed on my D: drive.  I was able to install the X1a patch.  It went so smoothly I don't remember the details.  Try again and watch closely to see if there comes a point where you can edit or browse the destination path.

I have my D: drive such that there is a folder D: Program Files.  Then when I am installing, I edit the destination path merely by changing the C to and E.

I'd advise to not change drive letters.

    Good luck.
