The trick is to wait for it to be fixed in the X1b patch.

If the PRV is undocked and unfloated, you can get access to the setting, but it still won't follow changes in the snap resolution.

...also when zoomed in, for some reason the Snap will not work at all.

A number of people have mentioned having trouble with snap not working. I have a lot of trouble with the mode and resolution settings not staying where I put them, but when they're set right in any given view, they work fine.

One thing I've noticed is that there seems also to be more than the usual amount of confusion about how magnetic strength works, even though it hasn't changed. If you don't need to be able to drag notes to intermediate values between grid lines, you should set magnetic strength to "Off" (in Preferences), which is counterintuitively more like "Infinite" strength. Then notes can only take on grid values, and will jump from one to the next when dragged across the halfway point between them.

    Cool. Glad to help.

Just to be clear (and as you probably know), the issue with snap settings not sticking that I mentioned at the time has been resolved with the X1b patch. So snap is now truly universal (and stable) across views in a given screenset. If you need different snap settings for different views, you can use screensets to get that.
