X1a patch not working with my Lynx AES16e ASIO drivers (Resolved)
(Hi folks,
Just a quick update, the X1a patch seems to not be playing nicely with my Lynx AES16e. Prior to installing the patch X1 saw both my MOTU and Lynx ASIO drivers. After installing the patch X1 seems to think that I don't have any ASIO drivers other than my MOTU. Even after unplugging the MOTU it won't see any Lynx ASIO drivers. Also, it doesn't seem to be identifying my Lynx hardware in WDM or WASAPI mode. When using those driver modes it sees only some of the ins and outs.....sometimes identifying it as 4 in 4 out, sometimes 6, sometimes 11.
Reinstalling X1 and the patch now. More info as it comes. In the meantime, Lynx users may want to hold off....

Did you update to the 18j beta drivers on the Lynx? You might have to roll back one version. I had some issues with this latest driver version here.

Behaviour persists across reboots, resets of aud.ini and re-install of the application.
Hey Middleman, did you install the patch? Is it working for you?

I didn't try that because X1 found my card before the update and (not that it matters) but 8.5.3 still finds my card

Same here with my L22, except 8.5.3 doesn't see the ASIO drivers either. WDM, but not ASIO.

Sorry Razorwit, I have been holding off on the X1 software. I have too much work right now and need a reliable platform. I am hanging with 8.5.3 for now. Also looking at the ProTools 9 offering and deciding if I want to jump in there. X1 looks a few years out before things settle down.
I was going to fire up X1 on a separate drive to keep it quarantined but now that I am seeing these Lynx issues, just don't want to dance with frustration and waiting around for all the development issues. I will be watching however to see if you get it sorted out.

Oh man. I just installed X1a and to my dismay, my lynx L22 can no longer be found! Wish I saw this thread BEFORE I installed the update. I'll be watching this to see if any one has any luck, but for the moment I can't get anything to work with X1a.

Thanks everyone for reporting this.
I'm on travel so I didn't get a chance to install the update, now I'll hold off since I have an AES16 and an Aurora.
Unless CW needs another data point and wants me to give it a try, in which case I'll image my drive and give it a shot....

Keith... yes, I got it work once yesterday... but that was after I had spent other occasions finding that it was down.
The problem is once I hit the dead end... all the form stuff is stuck in that browser window instance... it's impractical for me to keep that window alive while I wait for the server to come back on line.
I gave up yesterday and PM'd Brandon with my report and work around.
It is inconsistent... and it makes me feel like I'm wasting my time when I fill out the form and then hit the dead end.
It's very discouraging.

Keith, I just went and looked and I could not even open the problem reporter page by clicking on the Problem Reporter link at the Contact us page. So I went and set up an instance of Adobe Captivate so that I could show you what I see from here... and then the problem reporter worked perfectly. :-) I think the inconsistency in the problem reporters function has been fairly consistent for me for the past 2 years. very best regards, mike and BTW I just went back again and I can't get the Problem Reporter link on the Contact Us page to work again. but this time I'm just gonna let you decide if you believe me or not. :-)

Shades of the Lynx "motorboating" problem with S7 (IIRC). What's with those guys? Maybe the drivers are not as "high-end" as the prices.
