X1b Crashes on MIDI clip open

when I do, I get the old "Fatal error has occurred" and Sonar crashes... first thing out of the gate.... Not a good start...

I tried it both with the inspector open and closed...

Note that this is with the midi track of a frozen softsynth...

anyone else?
