I'll install X1b as soon as it's available... Then go searching for the .DLL conflict that's causing the inevitable "Oops - we didn't think that would happen" error... Then un-install X1 completely... Then re-install X1, and X1a... Then download the new X1b v1.1 update, then install it and see what happens...

I can't imagine it being worse. I'm sure they've fixed more and thrown in a sink or two while there... I'm right into it. I just finished my first X1 imported project and I'm now back in 8.5.3 working on another tune... whatever else I've imported or stared in X1 will be fine....

I will update to the patch as soon as possible.  I don't see this as an upgrade - it's a repair job.  Just like if you bought a car and pieces of it didn't work when you drove it off the lot.

Can you imagine your Nissan dealer telling you as soon as they can figure out what is wrong they'll send you the parts?

As I've said before; X1a has been so stable for me - since I stopped running it and went back to 8.5.3. I do run it from time to time to muck around and at least get some familiarity with it but its so flakey I have no choice but to install X1b ASAP. If that doesn't fix things I'm afraid that 8.5.3 and me are going to work together until it doesn't do the job any more then I'll find a suitable replacement. Already working with 2 other programs more an more.

I have one project that I'm working on right now...in 8.5.3!!!

I really like the promise that X1 holds, however, until Cake makes good on the promise I will just be kickn' the tires for now.  Until I see positive results...vaporware remains vaporware.

I always leap first and ask questions later.  I think I might have the wrong approach, after reading this post.  I Bought x1 the first day or two it came out.  I installed x1a patch as soon as I saw it, and am now reformatting my drive again, not sonar related.  I am in the middle of completing the first of 4 sonar installation disk.  I think I will slow down this time and read the reviews on x1a before installing it.  I always think, a company will only release it if it ready, maybe my thinking is wrong.  All of that said I think I will definately install it as soon as I see it posted..

Usually there's a mad rush to download an update the first few days, and the server get overloaded and takes forever to download.  Therefor, I'm going to wait a few days until the traffic jam is over, watch the first returns come in on this forum, and then make the plunge.  X1a is working well for me as it is.  Still, I'm looking forward to X1b to iron out the few bugs I've experienced.  Who knows, maybe by this time next week
