X1b loads my project faster than 8.5.3

33 audio tracks 19 plug-ins
8.5.3: 6 seconds
X1b: 4 seconds
Oh, and for the record it appears my 3 bug complaints were fixed: Multiple clip lasso selection for copy and paste works, now time selection stays at my preference, metronome settings are now accurate and stay at my preference

Yes, all versions of X1 load my old projects faster too.

To bad everything else is sort of slowed down.

Not for me...so far I'm making my tracks faster, I'm having FUN again because the way they set up the X1 interface just helps me be creative more efficiently. So far the VERY VERY Best version of Sonar for me yet!!!

So your not having any trouble loading projects started in X1A? BTW, 'Happy',  GREAT TUNE!!! Really excellant. Did you do that in Sonar? Curious, what plugins are ya using?

Actually it's now X1b but my projects loaded just fine in X1a. I started "Happy" in X1a but had to move the project back to 8.5.3 because of the lasso multiple clip selection issue I mentioned above. Synths are Battery 3, Dimension pro, Real Guitar and Independence Free (free), a sample loop from X1 content and a sample I got from a record. Fx plugs are sonitus eq and compressor, Kjaurhus Classic delay (free), Channel Tools, Studioverb 2 (love it), BBE Sonic Maximizer, and Ozone 3 for mastering. And yes that's me singing. Thank you RageoPari for taking a listen

Hmm, thought one couldn't move back with projects created in later versions (8.5.3 > SX1 OK (Well, suposed to be OK) but SX1 > 8.5.3 NOT!) What did you do, import the wavs into 8.5.3?
Also, just curious, have you tried opening 'Happy' in SX1B to see if it still works? (My god, don't save it like that without renameing! I'd hate to lose THAT song)

And yes that's me singing. Thank you RageoPari for taking a listen

I just reopened it in 8.5.3 early in the project...there were no elements that were exclusive to X1 in the project so I didn't get a warning or anything, I'll give it a try now to open it it X1...let's see what happens

I was able to open it in X1b and play it with no problem and I saved it under a new name in X1b and then opened that file in 8.5.3 and played it with no problem. All I got was a message saying that the project was created in a later version of Sonar and that the it might sound different but in this case it sounded the same.

    Thanks Tony!
I've been vacillating all day, should I go to the 'B' or not to 'B' but the horror stories have held me off. I started a bunch of new projects in X1a last weekend and was supposed to be tracking guitars right now but the client had to cancel at the last minute due to a work conflict. I couldn't risk installing the patch with them coming today but now, they won't be back untill Tuesday, so I have some time.
When I heard about the projects not opening correctly in 'B' it scared me but I wanted to use audio snap in a seperate project and I knew it was broke in X1a but fixed in X1b. I just needed somebody to say, "opening songs in X1b is working for me" to tip me over.
I think I'm gonna take the plunge.

OK. I did it. I went to the 'B'. And (wait for it...)

    NO PROBLEMS!

I loaded about 3 or 4 songs and all loaded and played just fine. Now I've only loaded and played most of those and only saved a few minor level changes but so far so good.

Hell, I'm amost ready to post in the happy thread!
