X1b - insert softsynth - simple instrument track - Omnisphere - Stereo interleave toggle
Hello everyone.
This is driving me batty
When I insert a simple instrument softsynth track using any softsynth (Omnisphere, NI Mini Moog, M-Tron, etc) the track insert occurs, the stereo interleave toggle exists, but as soon the softsynth launches, the interleave toggle disappears. I can record the track, but the track is summed. I’ve recorded Omnisphere stereo many times, so I know this works. Here’s the setup I’m using:
X1b
Windows
Keystation 88Pro
Presonus Firepod
ASIO or WDM, the toggle still disappears
The track itself shows Input as Midi Omni
Output is Master – Master still shows the interleave toggle
Preferences shows Devices show ASIO Driver Input 1L,3L,5L,7L and same for Output drivers. These are actually stereo pairs, 1L, 2R . At least that’s what I’m told and it was this setup that previously worked
Playback and Record Timing Masters show Firepod ASIO Driver Output 1L (Playback) and 1L (Record)
Midi – Devices show Firepod MIDI In and output = Firepod MIDI out
MIDI – Instruments show Output/Channel as 1: FirePod #00C5060453 MIDI Out/1 and then the pane is truncated – there may be more on the other side – this points to <default>. Interestingly, this list goes through 1 to 9 and then starts again as 1:FirePod #00C5060453 MIDI Out /1 (and the string is truncated-perhaps more unseen) there are 7 of these entries.
Control Surfaces = Mackie Control 1 connected to Beheringer B-Control BCF2000 but this is not on when I track – it does show as ‘connecting’ in Sonar ( could this be zilching the whole thing?)
In Project MIDI we show the MIDI Synch Output port pointing to the FirePod midi OUT
This is just driving me batty. Any ideas or assistance will be greatly appreciated.
Best Regards To All,
