X2 CAN'T LOCATE MY TOONTRACK PLUGINS

Have had no problems with X1, but I can't get X2 to locate any of my Toontrack plugins - kind of a problem as I use them constantly. Done the usual routine of ensuring the file paths are there in the plugin manager, but they just won't load up when I scan. Any top tips? I upgraded a while a go but still using X1 as I can't get past this!

    Hi,
If you haven't already, try the following...

    1. If you're running X2 64 Bit, you'll need to download the latest updates from Toontrack and install both the 32 Bit and 64 Bit versions.

    2. Run X2 in administrator mode

Let us know how you get on

I have not had any problems with Toontrack plugins but have just had one with an Eventide 64bit plugin.

    I have solved the problem.

What I did was go into the VST folder and change the name of the dll by adding on letter to it and rescan the VST's. The 64bit dll was then recognised by SonarX2a. I then changed the name back to original dll and it was still recognised.

It is strange why Sonar X2a should not recognise the dll in the first place.
