X2 Compressor Informal Poll...

For those of you who have started a new project file in X2, which of the following is more true for you:

a) I use the ProChannel's compressor.

b) I use my favorite plug-in compressor(s) as an insert effect.

    A) Pro Channel Compressor and EQ.

I have all the Cakewalks expansions packs modules and I can say all sounds just great. I wanted to buy Soft-tube series too but they insist using ILOK dongle that are known to slow down and crash the DAW. So no buy from me until they remove that stupid license control device.

I can tell you that CA-2a "Teletronix-LA2" are just sweet too. One of the best LA's modules I have heard so far.

    http://www.cakewalk.com/products/ca-2a/

The SSL Compressor is great too! PC4K S-type. So are the included SSL Bus compressor.

I'm becoming hooked on the Pro Channel.
Gotta agree, too, that the CA2A is awesome!
Pro Channel is the only thing keeping me using X2 instead of just going back to my trusty old Sonar 8.

I've been using the PC compressor inserts since X1 - very nice plugs.

Recently picked up the upgrade to Komplete and I've been trying out some of the compressors in that package...OT I know but the RC24 and 48 reverbs from NI are lovely - imo of course.

ProChannel (the included ones and the add-ons) and the compressors in the Softube Mix Bundle - which I use a lot.

Two internal 2TB SSDs laptop stuffed with Larry's deals and awesome tools. Studio One is the cat's meow as a DAW now that I've migrated off of Sonar. Using BandLab Cakewalk just to grab old files when migrating songs.

That's what I call heavy serial compression.

But seriously, I'm with you, I use all of them.  My favorites were the CA-2A, often after the PC76 on tracks, and the 4K Bus on busses, but I have finally started getting into the 4K Channel some more.  It's taken me a while..

And I like the Concrete Limiter, too.

I knew what you were saying, sorry, I was just being a prat.

It's nice to see so many other people like them.

I bumped into a singer today at the supermarket that I haven't seen for years.  It turns out that he uses Sonar, and we stood talking at length about the PC, and especially the CA-2A, whilst my wife had to finish the shopping alone.
