X2 Lo Res Graghics

I was thrifty this time around for updating from X1 with the half off sale and noticed that the GUI for X2 is very much low resolution compared to X1.  Is there a setting that I missed in preferences?  I loaded the same project in X1 and X2 and noticed that X2 is nearly twice the size (GUI wise) as X1.  Looks very low res and pixel blocky to my old eyes.  I even imported my X1 colors into X2 but to no avail.

I was unable to install the loops and one shots extra downloads but that may have been corrupt files with my minimal DSL download speed.  It took several days just to get the main files downloaded so I wish to believe that these files are not that important.

The added features are certainly nice and I appreciate the forward thinking of Cakewalk/Roland.

Just to recap, is there any way to increase the resolution of the GUI in X2a?

Thanks for any assistance that may be provided.

Great, now X1 is showing what must be X2 features regarding the smart tool in that I cannot work with MIDI (and I imagine audio clips as well) like I used to could.  It looks like some weird black with 3 white dots/lines icon as I try to adjust the clips length.

    What's up with that?

First there is no X2 Expanded. But both X1 and X2 have the same resolution. There is no lo res version and is completely dependent on your display settings set in Windows.

X2 will look large if you have your Windows display settings set to greater than 100%. X1 didn't follow the Windows settings in all aspects, but I got a shock when X2 first opened and was massive in comparison to X1 (which I could read perfectly with Windows display settings set to 125%)
    Hopefully this helps your cause.

The windows display setting is the culprit.  I too have mine set at 125%.  Thanks, Millzy.

John, I merely copied and pasted the X1 info and forgot to delete expanded.
