X2 ONLY

In considering a new computer in the very near future, it occurs to just leave out all the funky plugins I never use anymore or just use slightly.

It seems X2 could "really" be all that you need (plus VSTi of course) for FX and recording/mixing,  which is what I might imagine is the typical stuff most do with Sonar around here... that since there's a lot of bells and whistles now, especially the ProChannel, I can see that being the only program.  It seems Cake is gearing it that way with the sequencer, session drummer, Breverb, Perfect space, V vocal......etc

Yes, I'd keep CD arch, Superior Drummer, etc......  but ditch all those plugs that I've gathered over the years.
And YES, I believe it is not so much the tools, but who is using them...  and I'm coming to believe that Sonar could have just about all you'd really want in a recording/mixing package.

Any "yeahs" on this...or "nays"?
