X2 POWER! (The Neverending Story)

I have been reading this for a couple of days and, it is good... however I must have skimmed a bit in the early part. Last night I read through aprox the 2nd half of chapter 2. (I bought the Kindle version, it tracks my reading time etc). So I started out with 18 hours 52 minutes left in the book. I read 12 or 15 pages, ended chapter 2 and it said I have 18 hours 55 minutes left... at this rate I will never finish even though I am 10% through. I'll start chapter 3 tonight and I guess by tomorrow I will have 20 hours left. At least it is a good read. I switch between it and a collection of Zane Grey novels. Life is good life.

It really is a good read. Scott does a good job.

On my Kindle I am reading "It can't happen here" by Sinclair Lewis which imagines a fascist takeover of the US. It was inspired by Lewis' opinion of Huey Long and Father Coughlin.

Also I am reading "11.22.63" (50 years ago this year) which is a Stephen King one where he goes back in time to stop Oswald doing his dastardly deed.

And "The Time Machine Did it" by John Swartzenwelder (who wrote my favorite Simpsons episodes) which is corny science fiction and feels like it might have been written over a weekend but has some very witty jokes.

Does your Kindle device have the Ubiquitous Bubba Time Shifting plugin?

Probably... I bet I got it when I bought his book and read it on my Kindle. BTW, After most of another chapter I am still at 19 hours and some minutes... I haven't had time to read. I drove almost exactly 1,000 miles Thursday and Friday. It was a nice drive... if long. Went to a microbrewery last night, the Oaken Barrell. IT was GOOD, came home with 4 half gallon bottles of ale.... porch party tomorrow!!
