X2 PRV snap to grid

Hi,
New X2 user, long time Sonar user.
I'm trying to edit drum tracks in the PRV. Snap to grid doesn't seem to work. I can set it to 1/16 in the control bar, or in the track inspector, but it makes no difference. The notes I insert go in where the tool is located on the PRV  and don't quantize the start times to 1/16 grid. From the docs I see I should be able to set an snap to grid setting  seperately  for the PRV, but enabling that causes it to go to a default value of 1/4 or 1/8, and this can't be changed. Even so, it's not snapping to the snap setting thats displayed on the PRV.

Rather disappointed with what cake has done here. This was working perfectly in 8.5.

There's a separate snap setting on/off switch toward the top right of the PRV window. Make sure that is on (Blue)

The Snap To Grid control for the PRV is here in the top right of the screen:

Yes, thanks, I am aware of that. I have got it to work. Just the right combination of buttons enabled. It's a bit confusing though. As I understand it from the docs the snap setting should default to the control bar setting when it's not enabled on the PRV. I don't think it was doing that.

Check your "Snap intensity" settings (the old magnetic strength). They will also have a bearing. That is far more logical and improved now. Preferences---->Customisation---->Snap to Grid

*note Make sure you DO NOT have "last touched" ON
this will change every note you touch change, every time you touch another note of different value.

in this video (I have the link set to show you the exact spot im talking about 0:41 sec
