X2 Producer_Drawing envelopes in track view.

I recently upgraded both computer and Sonar. Previous version used was S6 PE. I recorded some demos for a client over the weekend and cannot for the life of me find a menu for creating and drawing an envelope for volume, mute, pan etc.....hard to believe this feature would be eliminated, so..........where's it hiding? Thanks for help in advance.

Change the edit filter, in red box below (from http://www.cakewalk.com/Documentation/default.aspx?Doc=SONAR%20X2&Lang=EN&Req=Automation.11.html), to the appropriate automation value, hit the F9 key for the draw tool or "T" for the tool HUD, draw envelop.

There are a couple of videos about automation and automation lanes in X2 at CakeTV which might be useful.

Thanks. I purchased the tutorial videos a couple of weeks ago, just haven't gotten to the automation portion yet. I was used to right clicking on the clip and seeing the dropdown menu appear in S6, kind of wish they'd left that feature alone. I'll get over it, lol.

I would suggest using the middle mouse button (wheel press) or "T" to access the HUD vs. selecting from the Edit Filter in the track strip.   That lets the cursor remain in the clips pane area, more like the right-click menu.
