X2 Projects and X2 has started acting weird..

So I have one of three options whenever I try to open a project now. Either SONAR decides it can't find my soundcard and there are no audio outputs anywhere to be found (it finds it fine in X1 - Edirol UA 25-EX), the project attempts to load indefinitely but never gets there, or it actually works. Most of the time it's option 1 or 2. Very rarely the project actually loads! But when it does it seems fine. What the hell?! Each fail time I unplug and re-plug my soundcard, or re-start my computer. Doesn't make a difference. It has been fine since I got X2 but tonight it just randomly decided to stop working. Nothing has changed! Anyone else experience anything like this?

Hopefully it just magically fixes itself next time I try and do some work... Glad I've kept my important projects still on X1 only!

What happens if you start Sonar with no project, checking your driver settings independently of any project?

I had trouble with a mismatch on sample rate, and have also had trouble if I was running certain other audio programs (even with the share audio engine button checked).

Does Windows Media Player play audio files properly, outside of Sonar?

Can you start a new project, import an audio file to an audio track, and get that to play?

Looks like it was just a bad plug. The no audio drivers only seemed to happen after I force quit X2. Then an un-plug and re-plug of the interface fixed that. Then one project had problems loading and playing. Deleted the offending plug and it seems to be ok. But this SUCKS! Using the Modern LA2A (aka Lost Angel) free plug on a vocal. The vocal is really harsh and the guy recorded it with a Behringer. It also needs HEAPS of compression. This was the only comp I could find that would smooth out the voice without becoming fatiguing! Everything else made my ears feel like they were bleeding... Seriously! Oh well, that's free plugs for ya! Might sound alright, but don't trust them to be stable!
