X2 - Saving midi/audio

Awhile back Cakewalk Tech Support explained to me how to hear a midi file by inserting soft synths, cakewalk tts-1, and a few other steps. So I can hear a midifile and added an audio track for lead vocal. When I tried to save the project I get this pop-up saying...This Project Contains Digital Audio Which Cannot Be Storred In A Standard Midi File. If You Save Your Project In This Format, The Digital Audio Will Not Be Saved. Are You Sure You Want To Continue? So I click No and another popup comes up saying...To Save Your Project Without Losing Digital Audio Data, Save It As A Normal (.cwp) or Cakewalk Bundle (.CWB). So I click Ok and now I can't find where the file is saved and how to open it up where I left off. Any suggestion on how to save a project with Midi and Audio?

Tutorial #1 http://www.cakewalk.com/D...N&Req=Tutorial1.1.html should help with creating, playing and saving a project in SONAR. When creating a new project you should always make sure that Store Project Audio in its own Folder is checked. That will store the audio in a directory just below where the Cakewalk Project file (.cwp) is stored. This makes it easy to backup or copy the project. Your MIDI data will be stored in the Cakewalk project file.

What can I say but the Reference Guide, tutorials, Help files, Youtube-videos etc. are there for a reason...:o) SONAR sure isn't a piece of cake. The Reference guide alone is about 1800 pages.

Spend a few days just studying the basics, step by step. Read one chapter about one feature so many times that you get the idea.
When you bump into something (and you surely will :o)  that is explained in a manner you simply can't understand, you'll get help here, for sure.

SONAR PE 8.5.3, Asus P5B, 2,4 Ghz Dual Core, 4 Gb RAM, GF 7300, EMU 1820, Bluetube Pre  -  Kontakt4, Ozone, Addictive Drums, PSP Mixpack2, Melda Creative Pack, Melodyne Plugin etc.

I've got this problem solved. First attempt, in x2 I just opened a midifile to work on, where I should of created a new project for that file, that's where my error was and why I couldn't save it properly. Thanks again scook.  I've recently upgraded my computer and have been downloading from cakewalk. Awhile back I downloaded the PC4K S-Type Channel Compressor as a freebie from Cakewalk. When I tried to install it there is popup asking me for a serial #.  There is no serial # that shows up in my account. Anyone know about this? Or how I can go about getting one. I know I could make that call but it's long distance and I'd rather not...

I had this exact same problem with this compressor.
