X2 - Unicode lyrics?

I don't see it mentioned anywhere, does X2 support Unicode characters yet?

Things like Japanese and Chinese characters mixed in with English. Up to versions 8.5 do not support Unicode. If someone wants to test, you could try copy/paste these as lyrics
あいうえお 亜加差
, save then reopen. It's only on reopening the project you'll see if it fails.

Thanks,
Brett

Brett, I did as you asked and tried this. When I save and reopen the project this: あいうえお 亜加差 turns into this: ????? ???

So if that's what you're seeing, I too am seeing it on this end.

Thanks Danny, that means it doesn't support Unicode.

My friend often writes Japanese lyrics and so I can't enter them.

You're welcome. I don't know if this is something that may have been missed in Sonar's creation process or may be a bug. But I get the same results if I do this in X1 as well. The same thing happens...a bunch of question marks after I save, close Sonar, reopen and then bring the project back in. This is definitely something you may want to discuss with support to at least find out if it may be an issue or just an option that was never meant to be in Sonar.
